There’s no better way to start a New Year with gratitude and a new healthy habit! We all know that hydration is an important part of overall and everyday health. Listen, dehydration can cause headaches, fatigue and even elevated blood pressure among other things. If you can relate to any of these symptoms, paying attention to your daily hydration is a great place to start. Some ways to get consistent could include:
~ Begin your day with a tall glass of water! Newsflash – We all wake up dehydrated.
~ Before each meal drink an 8 ounce glass of water – this gets those digestive enzymes working and having a glass prior to each meal serves as a reminder to hydrate.
~ Have water available – bring a water bottle wherever you go. This also serves as a great reminder and a way to measure daily intake.
~ Water is great, however, other unsweetened clear fluids can ‘count’ as well – herbal tea, bone broth etc…You can also add lemon/lime to your water and drink it hot, cold or room temperature – the important thing is that this becomes a consistent habit!!
Staying hydrated is a micro-habit that can have a major impact on your overall health & wellness. Stay hydrated my friends ~ Cheers!!!
