So Here’s the Thing about staying HYDRATED

We all know that staying hydrated is important, but do we know how important it really is? Well let’s begin by acknowledging that it is an essential (absolutely necessary) component of life - without it we cannot survive. Similarly, without adequate hydration, we cannot attain optimal wellness - the cornerstone of Integrative Health & Wellness. Many of us live in a state of mild dehydration without even knowing it! As a result, symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, weight gain and even brain fog can often be a few of the side effects that I’m sure you would rather not have! There are numerous benefits to staying hydrated, not the least of which is the natural cleansing and detoxifying response in your body! Your goal should be to drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water per day. For example, if you weigh 160 lbs. your goal should be 80 ounces of water over the course of each day. A great way to start your day is with a nice tall glass of water, and then continuing to hydrate throughout your day. Keeping a water bottle with you during the day is a great reminder that will help keep you consistent. This one small manageable change can have an important impact on your overall wellness - So what are you waiting for? DRINK UP!!!
